Streets of Rage 4 is live on smartphones, bringing tears of nostalgia
Publisher DotEmu has released Streets of Rage 4 on iOS and Android. The game runs good, but there are some rough edges.
Streets of Rage 4 is a project for PC, consoles and now smartphones. The game has iconic and new characters, some of them you need to unlock by completing objectives. Unfortunately, mobile version doesn't support multiplayer, but it will have after future updates. The good news is — the controller support is already there, bad news — without it your experience might be bad because of poor touch controls; this is especially true for the main menu and settings.
PC players say that even Streets of Rage 4 is your first game, it will provide many hours of entertainment and nostalgia. If you play with your friends or family members, the effect is even better. Good or bad, SEGA didn't participate in the making of this game, but there are some names you might be familiar with — Ben Fiquet (Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap) and Jordi Asensio (Streets of Fury).
The developers of Streets of Rage 4 promise hand-drawn visuals and new tracks. There's even PvP and Boss Rush Mode for those who feel like 12 unique campaign stages is not enough.
